President ~ Kathy Mullins
It's all about me: I started writing little books and
illustrated them for my younger brothers and sisters, inserting
their names as the main characters. And when I was a young
mother, I did the same with my three little ones.
When I was 14, my mother gave me my first journal for my
birthday, and I was hooked on journaling from then on. I wrote
biography's of my grandparents, uncles, aunts, anyone I could
get to tell me their story. I found people fascinating.
I've written newspaper articles, and had some short stories and
a poem published.
I'm very excited about my current project, a non-fiction book on
the Biblical Festivals from a Jewish perspective
for Gentiles. my list of "to write" grows longer all the time.
It's my great pleasure to serve as
Ozarks Romance Authors President.

Vice President ~ Sharon Kizziah-Holmes
Sharon has written songs since the age of twelve
and is a retired professional musician. She became interested in writing
stories in the early 1990's and soon afterward became a member of ORA
Her first book, Ride the Storm, was published in
May of 2002. Her second book, A Star That Twinkled, But Never Got to
Shine, a story about her father’s life in the music business, was
published in 2005. Available at
www.tommykizziah.com
Now, Sharon and her husband own and operate a
barber shop, as well as a professional recording studio. Sharon spends
her spare time writing novels and short stories, playing in the studio
and enjoying her children, grandchildren and dogs.

Secretary ~ Georganna Myers
My earliest writing memory is winning a poetry contest in fourth grade.
I have no idea what the poem was about, but I well remember the thrill
of learning how words can affect people, especially teachers. By high
school, I was writing stories in longhand and a friend typed them for
me.
After college, the only prose I found myself with
time for was technical–-company reports and user manuals. Not exactly
the type of writing I grew up dreaming I would produce. So a few years
ago, I attended an ORA conference featuring Laura Abbott. I was hooked!
Since joining ORA, life still leaves me little time
for writing. That’s probably why I’ve focused more on short stories;
they allow me to actually finish a tale in a minimal amount of time. To
date, I’ve only had one story published—-BONSAI--but like most writers,
I always have works-in-progress.

Lisa Wells ~ Newsletter Editor
Okay, I admit, there’s nothing too deep
in what I’m going to tell you, and I’m more of a sassy gal than a dark,
tortured-soul kind of gal. If you’re still interested in learning more,
I’ve compiled a list of nine things about me. Why nine? Try as I might,
I just couldn’t come up with ten.
- I write steamy stories and then worry what my dad
will think when he reads them. (He sort of cringes when I say, “Now
Dad, there’s sex involved in this story.”)
- I’ve ran ten marathons with my husband. This
might lead you to believe, I’m a fabulously healthy individual. The
truth is I run because I like chocolate and the occasional high
caloric beverage. Running allows me to indulge.
- My favorite sitcom was Sex and the City, now it’s
Gray’s Anatomy. I love the fashion on the first and the eye candy on
the second. Oooh, la, la.
- My favorite indulgences are chocolate Martinis
and afternoon naps with my husband. We don’t really sleep during
these naps.
- I have a new road bike and plan on participating
in a 150 mile charity cycling event this fall. Why? Well, I’m tired
of throwing-up at mile twenty-three in marathons, and I still like
the products mentioned in number two above.
- I hate cleaning toilets; luckily my husband loves
me enough to do it for me. He’s the greatest - sexy as hell with a
toilet bowl brush in his hand.
- I’ve never been a size two – or a size four for
that matter. I’m just amazed at those who are. How do they stay
that slim?
- My favorite casual wear is my Lucky Brand Jeans.
I love the way I feel in them and look in them. They are worth every
penny I spend on them.
- I believe we all have the opportunity for a happy
ever after. I may not be a politically correct Christian in the
eyes of some, but God puts up with me
