2010 Weta Nichols Writing Contest (First 10 pages)

General Guidelines:

Submit the first ten pages of your unfinished or finished novel (no short stories please,) in .doc format with one inch margins all around, double spaced, in 12 pitch Times New Roman font. Please send the first ten pages only, and no less than 7 pages. Stories should be previously unpublished and can be any genre, romance, sci-fi, mystery, etc.

Your name should only appear on the entry form and the cover page of your entry. Also on the cover page please put your contact information, the name of your submission and the genre. The title of your story and the page number should appear in the header of each page submitted. The title in the top left and pg. number in top right.

Please send entries no later than May 1, 2010. Entries after that date will be disqualified.
Winners will be announced at the Romancing the Ozarks Conference July 10, 2010

Now for the best part, the awards.

1st award: $100.00

2nd award: $50.00

3rd award: $25.00

4th and 5th awards are honorable mention.

Follow the link to see the Scoring Sheet that will be used to score your entry. You will receive a copy of the judges scoring sheets, upon return of your entry, along with judges comments.

Awards will be announces the the 2010 Romancing the Ozarks conference on July 10th, 2010.
